Franny's dogs are barking

On our beautiful Monday, we ended our day out looking at the flowers in the front yard. Franny, getting more and more agile, as well as more confident, in her walking, decided she wanted to practice her new walking skills by taking a trip around the block. We obliged, since for us, the novelty of the new walking stage hasn't worn off yet. Unfortunately, we are walking novices ourselves, as we didn't think much about her trotting along barefoot. We made it down the street, up the hill--which is no small feat in our neighborhood--and back on the flat, when we realized that her toes were bleeding. Although it really didn't seem to phase her, we quickly got her back home and found that she had scraped the tips of her two big toes raw. Four days later, they are still healing, but finally getting better. Poor girl! We will be shopping for walking shoes very soon!

Ouch! Hope her toes heal quickly!
